Now is the time to get in shape for Spring!! How strong are your bones??

Weight-bearing physical activity causes new bone tissue to form, and this makes bones stronger. This kind of physical activity also makes muscles stronger. Bones and muscles both become stronger when muscles push and tug against bones during physical activity.

Experts recommend the following forms of exercise for all athletes in order to increase bone density and prevent bone loss:
  • Gymnastics.
  • Weight Training, especially the Squat Exercise.
  • Plyometrics.
  • Jumping.
  • Stair Running.
  • Body Weight Exercises.
  • Jump Roping.
  • Running.
  • Hiking.
